A quick update on my Viper MK II:
I am in the process of completing my base for this model, it is a play on the Viper flight suit patch, with the silhouette of the Viper raised up. I just need to drill an appropriate sized hole and paint the raised portions.

Experience with making custom model bases
Well, right now I am attempting to fix some warping/melting that happened to my Mobile Launch Platform top. I used a little too much glue and it warped/melted the top portion when i reinforced my hidden balsa wood pieces. I applied a layer of filler putty so I am hoping that some light sanding and It will be good to go. Worst case, I go get another sheet and re-make the top using some thicker styrene.
For the actual base, I have my painting almost done, it is a nice shade of tan and now I just need to figure out how to get the images I want on it and then the wording. I have a few ideas swimming around right now, one of theme is to do decals for both images and then the words, there is also the option of drawing them on and hand painting.
I have had bad luck with larger decals so I am shying away from that option, so I just probably need to work on my drawing skills lol.

Space Shuttle Update
I am currently working on my display base(s) for my Shuttle.
I am building a Mobile Launch Platform (MLP) and that will sit on a wood base with the STS-107 patch and NASA logo.

Long awaited (by me) updates on my EA-6B Prowler
I last left you all with an image of my fuselage clamped together. I am going to add some photos of my current progress.
I have completed the paint scheme as well as cockpit canopy details.
In this picture I have installed the tail hook and hard point attachments for the 2 external fuel tanks and 2 tactical jamming external pods.
My improvised parts bag. Don't need to lose any parts!
Installed nose gear minus wheels.
Installed external fuel pods, tactical jamming external pods, and main landing gear minus wheels.

Update Prowler
My EA-6B Prowler is almost ready for some body paint. I am enclosing a picture of the fusalage being glued together. Currently the wings/tail are all together and attached. I am waiting to put the landing gear on so that I can do my shading a little easier.

EA-6B
I broke down and bought another Prowler kit, I lost a part from my original, instead of order another part tree from Japan for $10. The kit I bought is the same and only cost me $14 plus for the same shipping I was able to get some Styrene sheets for another project.
The Prowler is coming along now, it has the tail complete and one wing is attached.
